Canadian Museum Of Water
Exploring the power, beauty, and fragility of water that shapes our landscapes, cultures, and future
Welcome to the
Canadian Museum
Of Water
Our mission is to inspire people to see water as a relationship rather than simply a resource. Through creative exploration, interactive experiences, and meaningful engagement, we foster curiosity, respect, and stewardship — equipping everyone with the insight needed to make thoughtful decisions about water and our environment.
We welcome collaboration with like-minded organizations to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and expand the reach of water awareness across Canada and beyond.
“Water is our first relative, our first responsibility.”

Community
The Canadian Museum Of Water is the first and currently only Canadian member of the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET) — a UNESCO-affiliated initiative uniting water-focused museums across six continents.
Through this international community, we exchange ideas, draw inspiration from diverse practices, and celebrate Canada's freshwater stories, while advancing water stewardship both locally and beyond.
